Muslim Protect is an independent research project dedicated to investigating organisations, individuals and networks whose actions, funding, affiliations or conduct raise serious concerns and may place Muslim communities at risk.
The Current Climate
For many decades, Muslims throughout the world have lived under extraordinary political pressure. Numerous Muslim-majority countries have experienced war, occupation, foreign intervention, intelligence operations, proxy conflicts and extensive surveillance.
Western Muslim communities have likewise experienced increasing levels of monitoring, infiltration and political targeting.
History demonstrates that governments across the world have, at various times, infiltrated political movements, activist groups, religious organisations and community organisations through undercover officers, informants and intelligence assets.
In such an environment, knowledge, vigilance and verification are essential for the protection of Muslim communities. The consequences of failing to recognise harmful influences before they take root can be devastating.
The objective of Muslim Protect is to provide Muslim communities with comprehensive, evidence-based information so they can recognise risks before harm occurs.
Through transparency, research and verification, we seek to equip Muslims with the knowledge needed to identify harmful organisations, infiltration attempts, intelligence operations (PSYOPs) and other forms of manipulation that may place individuals or communities at risk.
What We Do
We examine organisations appealing to Muslims
We examine their networks, and identify their links to state intelligence services, intelligence fronts and suspect or subversive groups.
We identify their funding sources
We educate on recognising red flags and identifying likely intelligence operations, infiltration attempts and psychological operations (PSYOPs).
